Fremantle Hospital staff have united to share the festive spirit with patients, families and visitors through the hospital’s annual Christmas decorations competition.

Ward and visitor areas have been decorated as teams sought to outdo each other to claim the prize for the best dressed area.

Nurse Director and Acting Site Manager Michael Jacobson said staff wanted to spread the Christmas cheer in the hospital and to celebrate with our patients and visitors.

“It’s about helping to put a smile on the faces of our patients and visitors who may have to spend Christmas at the hospital,” Michael said.

“Each area was judged on creativity, team effort and the use of recyclable materials.”

Winning areas:

  • 1st place – Group Program Area, W Block
  • 2nd place – Recovery, Operating Theatres
  • 3rd place – L Block dining area
  • 4th place – B7 Physio Gym

The Christmas decorations will be on display until 2 January 2017.
