UpToDate

The licencing requirements for UpToDate are very restrictive. The subscription available across SMHS is facility based. It is only available at the physical campuses of :

• Fremantle Hospital

• Armadale-Kelmscott Memorial Hospital

• Bentley Hospital

• Rockingham General Hospital

• Royal Perth Hospital

No access is available when you connect from off-site or anywhere else in SMHS.

The licence is very expensive, focussed on Hospital clinicians, and priced according to each physical location and then by the numbers of clinicians in different specialties at that location. No expansion to the licence is possible at this stage.

Alternative online resources are available for staff anywhere in SMHS (except RPH and Bentley - go to the RPH site for links).
