For Clients

Hiv Outpatient Servic – B2

A comprehensive clinical service is provided, including liaison nurse and clinical psychology support, sexual health, and management of viral hepatitis co-infection. There are opportunities to participate in clinical trials of new HIV treatments.

Sexual Health Clinic - B2

The Clinic is located in B Block Level 2. Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm Telephone: 9431-2149 Telephone line for triage and information 9431-3145 or 9431-2874

Speak to a nurse for new patients, existing patients. Nurse will sort out urgent and non-urgent appointments and advise waiting times. Sexual Health Service includes: testing and management of sexually transmissible infections; Pap smear screening, if having a STI screen; testing for blood-borne viruses; clinical psychology and psychotherapy; contact tracing; counselling and safe sex advice; community education.

NOTE Sexual Dysfunction Services are NOT offered

Outreach clinics for young people between ages 12 - 25:

Quarry Health Centre, 7 Quarry St., Fremantle Telephone 9430-4544 for appointments: Wednesday afternoon 2 to 4pm

Station Youth Centre, 9 Baralda Ct. Rockingham, Telephone 9527-7464 for appointment Thursday afternoon 3 to 6pm

Kwinana  Phone 94390274 for appointment. Thursday 3-6pm.

Refugee Health Clinic

This is held as required to deal with urgent and semi-urgent refugee infection-related issues. Referrals to this clinic are usually received from the Migrant Health Clinic, but may also be made by other health care professionals by contacting the Infectious Diseases registrar directly.

Viral Hepatitis Clinics

A comprehensive patient-centred service is provided, including Clinical Psychology; shared care with GPs, and active clinical trials participation enabling access to new treatments. Medical clinics staffed by specialists and other medical staff are held 5 times a week. Telephone advice regarding hepatitis B and hepatitis C is available Monday to Friday during office hours by speaking to one of the viral hepatitis nurses. A 24 hour on-call advice and support service is available to patients on therapy for hepatitis C infection. Support Group meetings are held regularly for patients receiving or contemplating treatment.

Hospital-In-The-Home (HITH) Clinics

These are held at Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham Hospital sites and are for the review of patients receiving home intravenous antibiotics under the care of the Infectious Diseases team.

NB Patients must be referred to and accepted under the care of the Infectious Diseases team prior to admission into HITH. Infectious Diseases approval is also required prior to PICC insertion for IV antibiotic administration.

Indigenous Sexual Health Clinic
